We’re excited to share this classically romantic and elegant The Ruins Wedding. Matthew and Cassandra chose to get married at The Ruins, one of our favorite indoor locations in the heart of the city.
The Ruins is a gorgeous mansion event venue full of refinement and charming character. With its eclectic decor, refined event spaces, exceptional services, and desirable Seattle location, this artsy venue gives you a true fairytale experience. The Ruins is a hidden gem venue by Landmark Event Co. in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Also, this unique wedding venue is a perfect combination of eclectic elegance and artistic touch. Sound Originals photographers have documented numerous weddings at this stunning mansion. Because of its theatrical decor and eye-catching murals, we always love photographing weddings here.
The wedding day started, and our wedding photographers captured the lovely details. Matthew and Cassandra were dressed up in gorgeous wedding outfits, and both looked perfect together. These two decided to have a first-look photo session. In a romantic corner of the venue, Matthew was waiting to see her lady, and he couldn’t hold the excitement and joy after seeing her as a bride. And then our photographers captured the beautiful and emotional moments of their first look. Following the first look, we took the wedding portraits of the couple. The Ruins has so many elegant rooms and spaces to take photos. We explored all the venue’s spots, including the library, to take romantic portraits against picturesque backdrops.
Smiling and kissing each other, our adorable couple walked to the ceremony space together. The ceremony was full of with smiles, emotions, cheers, and claps. Holding each other’s hands, the couple said their vows, exchanged the rings and kissed each other as husband and wife to finish the ceremony. By the time the ceremony ended, all the guests had made their way to the wedding reception party.
The reception was held in the Ballroom at The Ruins, which is covered in an ornate hand-painted mural. Additionally, there’re so many beautiful historical details about this room. Matthew and Cassandra’s wedding reception was full of heartfelt speeches, toasts, amazing food, delicious cake, and fun dance moves. The wedding cake was artfully created by Morfey’s Cake, one of Seattle’s talented wedding cake makers. Afterward, the newlyweds did a romantic first dance beneath a sparkling chandelier and mural-painted decor. Then they danced with friends and family members, and just like that, the dance floor was open to everyone. DJ Baby Van Beezly set the exciting tune for the party, and the newlyweds danced the night away with their loved ones. Lastly, our wedding photographers amazingly captured all the fun moves and happiest moments.
Thank you, Matthew and Cassandra, for trusting us! Sound Originals had a lovely time documenting this gorgeous The Ruins wedding.
