We’re very excited to share Ian and Courtney’s wondrous and magical The Ruins wedding!

The Ruins is an eclectic venue by the Landmark Event Co. located in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. With hand-painted murals, a private library, and fireplaces, The Ruins is moody and sophisticated. Ian and Courtney’s ideal wedding location, curated by planners Selma Wild and Bre Ruiz, featured unique elements reflecting the couple and their relationship. Guests enjoyed two special cocktails named after the couple’s beloved cats, Tali and Scruples.

Ian and Courtney’s wedding was uniquely detailed, featuring captivating attire, a Cryptex for rings, live cello music, masquerade masks, and a ceremony with autumnal flowers. The reception had a distinctive champagne toast, and hand-painted mini pumpkins served as seating cards.

While guests dined, they were dazzled and entertained by a couple of performances. Aerialists dangled above, suspended amongst the crystal chandeliers. Their guests loved the desserts! The had a pink champagne cake with chocolate icing from Morfey’s. Ian and Courtney cut the cake with an elaborate dagger. Also, they offered spooky cookies in the shape of black cats, spider webs, and coffins.

When it was time to dance into the night, the partygoers moved and twirled to the tunes of DJX2050. Ian and Courtney kept the party going with a special ‘bouquet’ toss. Putting their own unique spin on this tradition, these two walked in with a corgi and a cat stuffed animal, and both tossed a plushie to their guests.
