We are so excited to share Jack and Alicia’s Fremont Foundry Wedding with you! This was an incredibly special day and Sound Originals is so thankful to have been apart of it! Fremont Foundry is a historic yet modern venue in the heart of the highly desired Fremont neighborhood. This venue is known for its charming 20 ft ceiling sky-lit atrium. Couples and their wedding guests also love the rooftop terrace with stunning views. Jack and Alicia used the entire event space for their wedding. This venue is designed with a convenient multi-level layout that is perfect for transitioning between your ceremony, dinner, and reception.
Fremont Foundry was originally opened in 1981 as a hub for Seattle’s artist community. The space has been used for a variety of creative purposes over the last four decades, and was once known as a Mecca for artists. Therefore, it is extremely imortant to hire a Seattle wedding photographer that is familiar with the venue and knows how to optimize each space for beautiful wedding portraits.
A few of our favorite moments of the day were when Jack and Alicia’s precious dog joined them for some wedding photos, their beautiful ceremony, and the dance party that followed! Fremont Foundry Address
The Fremont Foundry address is 154 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103. Fremont is a highly desired neighborhood 15 minutes from Seattle. Fremont is known for a giant troll scultpure located under the Fremont bridge. This is an artistic and family freindly neighborhood. Some landmarks surrounding Fremont are Gas Works Park, The Woodland Park Zoo, and Ballard. There is a lot of great information about Fremont Foundry on Weddingwire.
Fremont Foundry History
The Fremont Foundry is a modern event space in a historical building. The building opened in 1981 and was initially used as an artist hub. Local artists could gather here, be creative, and showcase their work. In 1997, the iconic Jimi Hendrix statue was created at Fremont Foundry. Later on, it was relocated to Capitol Hill. Fremont Foundry Parking
There is no on-site parking at Fremont Foundry. Although, there is some street parking and parking garages located very nearby. This neighborhood has great public transportation options. If you don’t wish to drive, then King County Metro has multplie bus routes that go through Fremont. Uber is also a great option for wedding transportation.
Skansonia
The MV Skansonia is another excellent venue in Seattle. MV Skansonia is partners with Fremont Foundry. Skansonia is also a historic venue. It is permanently docked on Lake Union. Therefore, it has incredible waterfront views everywhere you look. We have photographed and filmed many weddings at MV Skansonia. You can learn more about this venue on their website.
