We’re very excited to share Daniel and Alexandra’s botanical Blockhouse PDX wedding photos with you!

Blockhouse PDX is located in Portland, OR. Portland is comprised of many neighborhoods. This venue is in the Pearl District. Blockhouse PDX is inside of the Pomarius Nursery. This venue is built around a chef-inspired open kitchen. In fact, the nursery has been in business since 2002. Their tagline is “Plants with Character.”

Alexandra looked gorgeous on her wedding day. Her floor-length gown had thin straps. The silhouette of her dress was vintage. Also, her wedding dress was embellished with lace and exquisite beadwork. She accessorized with a rhinestone pin in her hair. She wore pearl earrings. Daniel looked very handsome. He wore a dark linen suit. He wore a crisp white shirt and a black bowtie. His pocket square was white. His boutonniere was complimentary of Alexandra’s bouquet. The boutonniere was a single cream colored rose paired with small orange flowers. 

The ceremony and reception were lovely. The bridesmaids wore pale green satin dresses. The bride and groom shared handwritten vows with each other. Thereafter, they shared a kiss. When it was time to eat, the guests sat in a row at two long tables. While the guests were seated, the newlyweds walked in with linked hands and their arms raised. They sat at their own special table. Additionally, many toasts were given before it was time to cut the cake. At the very end of the evening the couple had a sparkler send off.

Pomarius Nursery can be rented for a wedding. You can take a virtual tour of the wedding space at Pomarius Nursery. If you want an in-person tour, then you must contact them directly. They have a frequently asked questions section on their website. There is a popular wedding website called The Knot. The Knot has reviews of 4.9 stars out of five, left by past couples. Additionally, on Wedding Wire the score is even higher! They have earned the full five out of five stars! Wedding Wire estimates the cost of a wedding here as $3,000-$5,000 for up to one hundred people. Here Comes the Guide lists a price range of $1,500-$5,500.

There are a few factors that influence the cost of a wedding. These variables are: day of week, time of year, size of space, and number of wedding guests. Having a wedding at the Pomarius Nursery is a good idea for a plant lover. The design is special! Simultaneously, your wedding will feel like it is outside, but it will be protected from the elements. A lot of people try to plan a wedding around the weather. You do not have to do that with this venue.  

Castaway Portland Wedding Cost

Castaway Portland is another Portland, OR venue. Specifically, it is in the Pearly District. This is a historic building. It is a warehouse from 1929. In 2014, the warehouse was restored. As a result, it has since won many awards as an event venue. The warehouse has steel framed windows. Also, the warehouse has exposed wooden beams. Castaway Portland is almost ten thousand square feet. The floors are polished concrete. The building has centralized heating and cooling. You can take a virtual tour of the venue.

Here Comes the Guide lists the price as $1,500 and up. This wedding venue is a neighboring partner of the Blockhouse PDX venue at the Pomarius Nursery. The flexibility of this partnership means that you can really customize your wedding venue experience.     

Coopers Hall Wedding

Coopers Hall is another venue in Portland, OR. It is in the Industrial District of Portland. This venue is a converted auto body shop. As a result of its original use, it has very high ceilings. The venue gets a lot of natural light. Coopers Hall is a winery with a seasonal menu. It has won many awards as a wedding venue. In 2021, it was a Best Venue Finalist for the PNW Weddings’ Excellence Awards. Also in 2012, it was a winner of an Editor’s Choice Award for Wedding Rule. They won two consecutive years with Oregon Bride Magazine. Lastly, Coopers Hall was a “Best of” winner in both 2019 and 2020.

The space at Coopers Hall is very urban and chic. There is a barrel room that leaves guests surrounded by oak barrels. Their spaces can accommodate between 48-180 seated guests.
