UW Arboretum Wedding // Lindsay + Aaron

Weddings

Celebrate Lindsay and Aaron’s UW Arboretum wedding!

Lindsay and Aaron wed in the 230-acre UW Arboretum amongst Seattle’s lush greenery. Our photographers joined their friends and family as they laid picnic blankets out on one of the more private lawns for the intimate ceremony. Then, we captured Lindsay and her father walking the beautiful path to join Aaron in front of their guests. Once they read their tearful vows and exchanged rings, we captured their stunning portraits throughout the Arboretum. The mature trees and glass-like water made the perfect backdrop to their timeless photos.

Next, everyone headed out to celebrate the newlyweds. Zach and Seth Pacleb from Brothers & Co. creatively prepared seasonal ingredients for the mouthwatering dinner. The floral arrangements made by Diep Shippen from Blue Poppy Floral perfectly accented the lovely couple’s aesthetic. Once friends and family had showered the couple with sweet speeches, Lindsay and Aaron cut into their to-die-for Milk Bar cakes. The party continued at a nearby bar, where everyone enjoyed a few libations and had a wonderful time celebrating the delightful couple.

MeLisa VanderVeen from Jubilee Weddings and Events did an amazing job planning this spectacular event with Lindsay and Aaron. Everything ran smoothly, and everyone had a fantastic time.

We can’t wait to share Lindsay and Aaron’s exciting UW Arboretum Wedding!

They encourage other means of transportation, such as taking the ST Link Light Rail, bussing, or biking. If you take the ST Link Light Rail, you will have a 1.2-mile walk over the historic Wilcox Bridge. There are two main roads inside the Arboretum, one of which is bike-friendly. Metro bus routes 980, 43, and 48 require you to get off at the McGraw Street stop. Several other routes stop near the Arboretum. You can use Metro’s Trip Planner to find your appropriate route.

UW Wedding Venue

The Center for Urban Horticulture and Wisteria Hall are the two main UW wedding venues. The Center for Urban Horticulture has indoor and outdoor spaces which hold up to 200 guests. Their elegant indoor area is perfect for slide shows and buffets. Their many outdoor spaces include an extensive grove with natural tree canopies, an enclosed meadow, a courtyard for cocktail hours, and an atrium. The atrium can be used as a dance floor or covered ceremony area should it rain. This venue also has a full kitchen and changing room to make your day as smooth as possible. Wister Hall also has indoor and outdoor spaces; however, it is ideal for smaller weddings. Located inside the 230-acre Washington Park Arboretum, this space is perfect if you love Seattle’s lush greenery. You can have your ceremony inside Wisteria Hall, under the wisteria-laden West terrace, or tented on the South terrace. This venue provides a bride’s dressing area to make your day as easy as possible.
