We are thrilled to share Kayla and Nick’s exciting The Melody wedding!

The Melody is a stunning Portland, Oregon, wedding venue with the perfect mix of old Portland charm and modern, elegant amenities. Their ivory-colored Melody Ballroom has 30-foot ceilings adorned with brass chandeliers and gold accents. Their state-of-the-art lighting against the neutral walls allows you to create the perfect atmosphere for your special day. Our photographers began by capturing the amazing details of this autumn-themed wedding. Piece of Cake Bakery and Geranium Lake Flowers perfectly set the tone with an ivory cake and fall-colored floral arrangements. Then, we met the couple as they finished getting ready. We couldn’t wait for Nick to see Kayla in her stunning hair and makeup done by Anny Chow Bridal and her perfectly draped True Society wedding gown. Kayla gracefully ascended the red-carpeted stairs to her patiently waiting groom. We could feel their love fill the room when he turned around. After a few private moments together, it was time to take their portraits. They were glowing against the brick front of The Melody and in the streets of Portland. Once we finished, their guests began arriving for their ceremony.

Kayla and Nick stood before their closest friends and family while tearfully vowing to love each other forever. Once they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as newlyweds, their excitement was palpable. Design Band got everyone up and on their feet after a delicious dinner catered by The Melody. We had so much fun photographing the lively dance party that ensued.

Melody Ballroom Cost

The Melody Ballroom will cost between $2,000-$6,000 to rent. This cost depends on what day of the week and the time of day your wedding takes place. If you choose to use their catering, a food and beverage minimum can be added as well as a 20% service gratuity. When priced separately, meals can start at $36 per person. Included in their cost is the use of their tables, chairs, A/V equipment, set-up, clean-up, linens, and table settings. Melody Catering

The Melody catering is prepared by their chef with more than 25 years of experience. They have menus for any time of day and are skilled at cooking for guests with special dietary requirements. With extensive vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, everyone will surely leave your wedding satisfied. For guests with other nutritional needs, their staff will be happy to customize the menu to fit your requirements. If you have a specific caterer you would like to use for your wedding, that is not a problem. Outside catering is welcome; however, you must use The Melody’s bar service.
