Stimson Green Mansion Wedding // Kavir + Joshua

Weddings

We’re very excited to share Kavir and Joshua’s breathtaking Stimson Green Mansion wedding!

Kavir and Joshua got married at a historic Seattle, WA destination, the Stimson Green Mansion. This mansion, which was completed in 1901, is considered to be a historic landmark in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood. A non-profit, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, is the proud steward of this English Tudor revival style mansion and was donated to the trust in 2001. The gothic mansion is known for its eclectic architectural blend of design styles. Kavir and Joshua rented this moody venue which exclusively uses Kaspars Catering company for weddings and events at the mansion. The interior features exposed brick walls, beautifully polished hardwood floors, and crimson red velvet chairs.

Kavir and Joshua parted with a kiss when it was time to get ready, and the grooms later shared their first look outside in the garden of the mansion. They were joined by a very special guest: their beloved greyhound. These two grooms looked so handsome in their complimentary blue suits accented with gold. Their boutonnieres were elegant and vibrant purple flowers. Their furbaby was dressed to impress too, wearing his very own fitted tuxedo. Lateron in the ceremony, their dog was their ring bearer with both of their wedding bands looped into his collar.

The bridesmaids wore royal purple dresses and the groomsmen had corresponding ties. With the ceremony witnessed by their family and friends, Kavir and Joshua were married in front of the fireplace and underneath the chandelier of the mansion. Their aisleway was lined with greenery and tall pillar candles which added to the warm ambiance and aesthetic of their wedding day. The reception featured wine, beer, cider, seltzer, and cocktails as well as delicious food. Kavir and Joshuas’s wedding cake was a beautifully designed white, gold, and purple, three-tiered cake topped with a greyhound figurine.

As the night went on, the grooms transformed into their next wedding look. Sporting emerald green and purple velvet with matching eyeshadow colors, they shared their first dance as husbands. At the end of their dance, they pulled out large rainbow fans with block lettering, featuring the combined message of “Yaaaas Daddy” across them. There were a lot of smiles and laughter as the pair kicked off things on the dance floor. The wedding guests got a lot of enjoyment out of the prop table that the grooms had supplied too. Guests could choose from tuxedo top hats, giant sunglasses, tiaras, beads and silly signs.

Our team at Sound Originals was honored to be a part of Kavir & Joshua’s wedding. Please enjoy their photos!
