Selina and Chris’s Silver Cloud Point Ruston Wedding was so much fun and magical. We’re so excited to share their modern/traditional wedding at a beautiful waterfront venue.

Silver Cloud Hotel at Point Ruston Waterfront is a gorgeous luxury hotel and wedding venue along the shoreline in Tacoma, Washington. The venue offers breathtaking views of the Puget Sound Waterfront, PNW greenery, and a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Selina and Chris opted for an indoor wedding at this luxurious and picturesque location. They incorporated some beautiful Chinese wedding customs like gorgeous red dresses and a tea ceremony into their wedding.

Our morning started off with capturing lovely details and getting ready images at the hotel. Selina and Chris wore traditional Chinese red wedding outfits for their tea ceremony. A tea ceremony is an important part of Chinese wedding events. In Chinese, it’s called “jing cha,” which means “to offer tea respectfully.” The couple offers tea and introduces themselves to the family, and they receive a red envelope in return that is filled with money or jewelry. Selina and Chris performed this tradition, and it was so much fun. After their tea ceremony concluded, they went straight to dress up for their American wedding ceremony. Selina was all dolled up in a crisp white wedding gown, and Chris looked handsome in his classic black tux. From there, we went outside, and our talented wedding photographers captured gorgeous couple portraits against a stunning waterfront backdrop.

Selina and Chris looked so fabulous together. Then, we took group photos of the wedding party and headed to the ceremony site. Their wedding parties were so energetic that they made their wedding memorable at every moment. They had an extremely beautiful wedding ceremony. We loved how they read their vows and exchanged rings against the spectacular views of Puget Sound. Following the beautiful ceremony, we were off for a cocktail hour and a party at Sterling Ballroom. Grand glass windows and modern chandeliers of the space illuminated their dinner reception. After a wonderful dinner, lovely speeches, cake-cutting, and a romantic first dance, all the parties joined the couple on the dance floor. The rest of the evening was spent doing fun and capturing epic night photos.
