We’re very excited to share Deborah and Krishan’s forested Mill Valley Community Center Wedding!

Initially, Deborah and Krishan decided to have their wedding at the Mill Valley Community Center. Specifically, the Mill Valley Community Center is located in Mill Valley, CA. Mill Valley is just over thirty minutes north of San Francisco, CA. Also, Deborah and Krishan worked with Alexandra as their wedding planner and florist. 

First off, Krishan and Deborah dressed in ways that represented their blended cultural traditions. Along her hands, Deborah had gorgeous wedding Mehndi designs. In detail, they both wore red for their wedding day. Wearing red is symbolic of a new beginning. Additionally, it believed to bring the newlywed couple good fortune. 

As you can see, they had a very special altar for their ceremony. Interestingly, it was topped with rows of white and peach roses. Below those roses hung strands of cascading white flowers. In addition, their wedding took place outdoors at the Old Mill Park, in a small clearing among towering redwood trees. 

During their ceremony, the traditions of an Indian wedding were followed. Further, there was a dhol drummer there to set the ambiance of the wedding ceremony. Lastly, the couple joined arms and took their first steps onto the red-carpeted aisle as husband and wife. 

Of course, every couple is unique. As a special feature of their wedding, the couple’s reception tables weren’t numbered. Instead, the tables at the reception were labeled as different anime shows! Throughout the reception, their guests enjoyed music by DJ Icue. 

Moving on to the reception, Deborah changed into a red dress, called a Qipao. Moreover, the Qipao paid homage to her cultural traditions. As they shared their first dance sunlight shone on Deborah and Krishan. The Mill Valley Community Center gets a lot of natural light due to its large windows.

Old Mill Park Wedding

Surprisingly, the Old Mill Park is located next to the Mill Valley Community Center. Most of all the Old Mill Park is an amphitheater set amongst a redwood grove. Along with the review of Old Mill Park is a video from one couple’s ceremony there. Overall, Old Mill Park is an accessible venue that has restrooms, a play area for children, and is wheelchair accessible. Be aware that there is no vehicle access into the Old Mill Park though.
