The celebration continued with an intimate gathering of their closest loved ones. The vintage wedding barn became the focal point of the reception. It was adorned with exquisite chandeliers, delicate wall sconces, and pendant lights. As the evening progressed, the festivities spilled onto the outdoor patio, starting with the bridal couple’s first dance. The atmosphere was electric, filled with joy and celebration.

Kelley Farm Bonney Lake History

The Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake was originally homesteaded by Rueben Ashford Finnell in 1853. The property faced adversity during the Puget Sound Indian War, leading to its abandonment. In 1864, William Barton Kelley and his father Nathan Kelley arrived from Illinois, claiming land on Finnell Creek. In 1907, William’s son John Ezra Kelley, married Sadie Crader. It as at this time when he gifted her the Kelley farmhouse, known today as the Yellow House. Over the years, the property changed hands, with the Corliss Family purchasing 100 acres of the land in the 70s. Following Elizabeth Kelley’s passing in 1988, her son Michael inherited the remaining property. This was later purchased by the Corliss family in 2001 who embarked on a restoration journey. Today, Kelley Farm blends its historical integrity with modern amenities, exemplifying the preservation of the past while embracing the present.
