What a gorgeous day it was at Alexa and Bahram’s IslandWood wedding! IslandWood is not just a wedding venue, it’s also a nature conservatory. A 35 minute ferry ride away from Seattle, you and your guests will have 250 acres to explore. We cannot wait to return to this enchanting venue!

IslandWood began their work on environmental education in 2000, a cause that is further supported by hosting weddings at the Bainbridge Island campus. Seattle Brides included IslandWood on their top 10 wedding venues that emphasize protecting the environment, and The Knot awarded them with the Best of Weddings award for the last two years. It’s easy to see that if you have your wedding here, you’ll be in excellent hands!

The ceremony was beautiful and included cultural elements that honored the groom’s heritage, which made it all the more special! Our professional photographer captured every special detail. Thanks to their talented planner, Jackie at A Standard of Grace Events, the day went smooth and according to plan, not to mention it was absolutely gorgeous! If you’re in need of a wedding planner or coordinator, Jackie is one of the best in the Seattle area.

The entire day you could feel the love between Alexa and Bahram, it was precious to witness their happiness. Some of our favorite moments were captured while wandering through the forest with Alexa and Bahram. The photos of them in the treehouse are so fun! Every moment of their big day was magical and a representation of the love they have for each other. We are so thankful to have been included!

There are four lodges on site that will sleep a total of 200 guests. Each of these includes a great room with a fire place and seating.
