Golden Gardens Bathhouse Wedding // Maria + Ryan

We’re very excited to share Maria and Ryan’s Golden Gardens Bathhouse wedding!

At the start of their special day, Maria and Ryan arrived at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Founded in 1908, this historic church graces the University District of Seattle, WA. As they prepared for their day, Maria had her hair and makeup done by Nicole Grose at Offwhite Makeup. Maria’s gorgeous dress was from the Luce Sposa collection at Christinna’s Bridal. Alongside her dress, Maria wore white ankle boots with a pointed toe. But equally elegant was Ryan’s black tuxedo and bow tie.

Clad in forest green, bridesmaids joined Maria, who donned a white fur jacket over her dress, combating light snow with clear umbrellas. Maria carried a white and pink floral bouquet by Floravore. The ceremony commenced with Maria walking down the aisle, exchanging vows, sharing a kiss, and signing the marriage certificate, witnessed by family and friends.

After their ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed over to the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Holding their reception inside the Golden Gardens Bathhouse, the couple celebrated with friends and family. Moreover, couples often rent this City of Seattle-operated bathhouse for weddings and receptions. Once the wedding party was settled in, everyone enjoyed dinner prepared by Pacific Northwest Catering.

Ryan surprised Maria by lifting and spinning her during their first dance, and guests, also in country-inspired boots, joined for lively line dancing. The celebration continued with a handcrafted three-tiered white wedding cake from Honeycrumb, featuring sugar-made decorative flowers. After a laughter-filled cake-sharing moment, the couple treated guests to a dessert tray of Hershey kisses. A playful wedding crossword puzzle added a fun touch to the festivities.

Being a part of Maria & Ryan’s wedding was truly an honor for our team at Sound Originals. Please enjoy their photos!

Golden Gardens Bathhouse Rental

The Golden Gardens Bathhouse is an indoor venue that can be rented from the City of Seattle. Located in the Ballard neighborhood, this brick building is located on the shorelines of Seattle’s waterfront. Further, if you are planning to have seating for your guests, then this venue can accommodate up to one hundred and forty guests. Along with your rental, they provide tables and chairs. If you want to check out this venue for yourself, they offer drop-in tours on Tuesdays and Fridays.

To move forward with a booking, you must complete an application. Before submitting an application, it is a good idea to review the insurance requirements for your rental. Once your application is submitted, the City of Seattle estimates that you’ll hear back from them within fourteen business days. This fabulous brick shelter was built in the 1930’s. However, it has been updated with a heating system making it usable throughout winter.

Golden Gardens Shelter 2

Golden Gardens is a public park in Seattle, WA. Included in the park are wetlands, beaches, hiking trails, and playgrounds. Of note are the picnic areas at Golden Gardens. The City of Seattle accepts picnic applications on a first-come-first-served basis. Obviously, that means that you need to plan in advance if you want to land a booked picnic area or picnic shelter. Ideally, you will want to book an outdoor venue during a time of year when the weather is nice.

In this case, you may want to consider Shelter 2 at Golden Gardens. Of note, is the affordability of this rental. The full day fee is only one hundred and twenty dollars! In the event you wanted an outdoor reception, then Shelter 2 might be the best choice. Worth mentioning is the large capacity of this space. It can hold up to one hundred people. Significantly, it is important to note that all eight tables are unsheltered tables. But don’t delay! The Seattle Times reports that these picnic shelters get booked every day of the year!

Golden Gardens Bath House Wedding

The Golden Gardens Bathhouse is a popular choice for a beachside wedding venue in Seattle. The City of Seattle’s rental brochure shows that the pricing is $200 per hour with an eight hour minimum from Fridays-Sundays. At that rate, the total rental cost is $1,600. That price is a bargain compared to most wedding venues! If your wedding is Monday-Thursday, then the rental minimum is four hours. The available rental hours are 6:00am-9:30pm, so your wedding cannot go too late into the evening when using the Bathhouse.

Additionally, there are some other fees worth mentioning. The non-refundable booking fee is $30.25. The maintenance fee is $150 and the alcohol fee is $75. The refundable damage deposit is $250-$500.
