Gold Creek Pond Winter Engagement Photos // Sarah + Brandon

Engagements

We love to take fun and wintry engagement photos of great couples like Sarah and Brandon! This snowy day at Gold Creek Pond was a beautiful backdrop for just that! Sarah and Brandon had fun playing in the snow, cuddling and enjoying their winter engagement photos with us. Gold Creek Pond is a great location with amazing views! Located less than an hour from downtown Seattle, it’s one of our favorite winter wonderland locations to take engagement and proposal photos! This picturesque mountain landscape sits atop Snoqualmie Pass and during the winter months, the trail is known as the Lower Gold Creek Basin Snowshoe route. We took photos around the pond, and didn’t have to venture too far or deep into the surrounding forest. As a result, we were able to get amazing photos. Plus, we were treated to stunning views of the Central Cascades on this clear day!

The Gold Creek Pond area has an interesting history! Back in the 1970’s it was actually a gravel pit created and used for building I-90. It’s hard to believe that this serene place was once a huge hole with heavy equipment! When it’s not a winter wonderland, there’s a very accessible 1-mile loop that circles the pond! And that pond is crystal clear, very blue and deep! Leading to the pond are beautiful wildflowers when it’s not snowy!

With a lot of wide open areas, plenty of snow and the magic that this couple provided, we loved capturing their photos. And when they were finished, I’m sure they got to enjoy a warm winter drink or grab a bite in the Snoqualmie Pass area!
